Marble has been used for centuries for its beauty and elegance. From sculptures to buildings, people have used this naturally occurring metamorphic rock for its unique characteristics. Marble is formed over time in the earth when metaphoric rock undergoes extreme heat and pressure. The veining is created when other minerals are present when the stone undergoes this process. Minerals present during this time of recrystallization can often tint the color of the Marble, giving us many unique colors of this natural stone. Due to the softer nature of this beautiful stone, care must be taken to seal often and prevent acid erosion for kitchen and bath applications.
